HPV Vaccination Campaign at Alfaisal University
HPV Vaccination Campaign at Alfaisal University
Alfaisal University recently completed the first phase of its on-campus HPV Vaccination Campaign, reinforcing its commitment to preventive healthcare, health education, and community wellbeing.
The campaign welcomed members of the Alfaisal community to receive HPV vaccinations and access reliable information about Human Papillomavirus, its health risks, and the role of vaccination in cancer prevention. Over the course of the campaign, 100 female patients, including pediatric participants, were vaccinated using Gardasil 9 (G9), the latest HPV vaccine offering broad protection against high-risk HPV strains.
The initiative was led under the academic oversight of Dr. Khaled Al-Kattan, Dean of the College of Medicine, with coordination through the Department of Family and Community Medicine. Dr. Abdul Rehman Zia Zaidi and Dr. Racha Khaled supported the campaign through faculty engagement and educational outreach, ensuring accurate health messaging and student involvement.
The campaign was organized in collaboration with the Alfaisal Wellbeing Office team, highlighting a cross-unit effort to promote preventative health services and foster a culture of wellbeing across the university.
Alfaisal University continues to advance initiatives that support informed health decisions, early prevention, and accessible care for its community.
