Student Field Trips with KFMC and SRCA Support Experiential Learning

As part of its academic and experiential learning framework, the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Alfaisal University organized educational field trips for medical students in collaboration with Second Health Cluster and the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA).

The field trips were conducted for both male and female students between December 9 and December 16, 2025, offering opportunities to observe healthcare and emergency service operations within established national institutions. The visits complemented the academic curriculum by connecting classroom learning with real-world professional environments.

The initiative took place under the oversight of Dr. Khaled Al-Kattan, Dean of the College of Medicine, with academic leadership provided by Dr. Baraa Alghalyini, Vice Dean and Chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine. Faculty supervision was provided by Dr. Racha Khaled and Dr. Abdul Rehman Zia Zaidi, supporting structured learning and student engagement throughout the visits.

Through partnerships with Second Health Cluster and SRCA, Alfaisal University continues to strengthen experiential learning opportunities that enhance student preparedness, professional awareness, and community-oriented education.
